November - yes 2008 - It's never to late to catch up!

Alexander was obsessed with tweezers! He ate this entire dinner with them! We just sat and chuckled while the inner teacher in me said, "wow look at that fine motor control at 2 years old!"
Tyler was in the middle of a really good Cyclocross season - top 5 every race! "Go Daddy Go!

Finally October

October was fun filled with Saturday Cyclocross races and lots of good family time. Alexander and Alyssa had a blast cheering on Daddy – who started at the top of the B category this season. We are so proud of him…Alexander rings his bell and yells “GO DADA!”

Alyssa, Alexander, and Granmamamama Cindy took a long awaited and wonderful trip to Sioux Falls, SD where Alexander got to meet tons of family, many for the first time. Our visit with Great-Grandparents, Aunts, Cousins, and Second Cousins was precious time. It was a party all the way around…Xander even had us all wear party hats at our very nice and fancy country club dinner…everyone did of course because our family is just that much fun all the time…we love them sooooooo much!

Alexander picked out his own Halloween costume this year and was thus really excited to be a buzzzzzz bee. Mom and Dad followed suit as Bee Keepers. Our now annual trick or treat, party, and greet with the neighbors around the block was a blast. It just took one house and Xander was over the learning curve and running to each house….toddlers, what a blast. Alexander even had his very first (a last probably till next year) tootsie pop and would not put it down until it was gone…now that’s savoring the moment.

We topped the month off with Alexander’s first school photos.

September update in November

Okay, the skinny on September: Tye geared up for cyclocross season and Alexander modeled daddy's new team gear. Alexander spent time with his buddy Ryder at the pre-season races and enjoyed his first days at school in his toddler class. We took a whirlwind of a family trip to Bozeman Montana for friends' wedding that we would not have missed. We had a great time and Alexander loved the great outdoors atmosphere. Now we are back in the swing of the school year and finally starting to settle into a busy, but good schedule.

"Il bel far niente"

We have returned from our vacation to Italy, and what a grand time it was! We spent two weeks exploring everything from the Streets of Rome, the hill towns of Civitta and Orvieto, soaking in the sun on the Mediterranean Coast to wandering the halls of the Ufizzi gallery in Florence. We have so many grand memories-and with that-alot of pictures. I'll put together a couple of posts with some more details on our travels, but for now, here is a few of my favorite photos:Alyssa in the grand St. Peter's
